In France credit cards are the dominant online payment method. PayPal ranks second in the top of the most popular online payment systems in France, following Visa, according to ITespresso.fr. France is the third European country in terms of the number of PayPal accounts, after the UK (21 million) and Germany (10 million).
Cash-on-delivery and alternative payment methods are also available to online consumers.
